This evening has been a hard one. A friend of mine that I met through the internet some five years ago has passed away. She was a wife and a mother to four beautiful children. She was 31 years young. It isn’t fair. Her death comes from an oversight of a doctor who performed a tubal ligation on her. At some point during the surgery, he perforated her bowel. The next day she went back to the doctor because she was running a fever and not feeling well, signs of the perforation. He turned her away and told her to take some Tylenol. Little did she know that the sepsis infection was invading her body, shutting down her organs and within four days of a routine surgery, she passed away. All from something that could have been caught days ago.
Life is not a given. Life is not guaranteed. But at the same time, so many lives are lost because of medical oversight. I’m over it. I’m sick of it.
You will be missed Anna. Every single day. May you watch over your husband and your babies as they will be hurting to the bone missing you. Much love momma. My heart is with your family today and forever.
